What We Do
HSCanvas is a website featuring high school students across the Bay Area who are impacting their communities and pursuing their passions through independent projects.
We are a community that connects students, parents, teachers, professionals, and anyone who believes in following their passion. HSCanvas is dedicated to showing the Bay Area what students are up to, and providing inspiration to anyone embarking on his or her own journey of personal development.
We inspire students to start turning their ideas into action. Why wait until after high school? Regardless of age or experience, anyone can start projects of any size, length, or shape, whether it’s building a computer or writing a personal story.
We challenge the traditional high school experience, because we know that many students' true interests lie outside of the classroom. HSCanvas aims to push more young people outside of their comfort zone to experiment, learn from failure, and ultimately pave their own paths into the future.
The HSCanvas Artists
Justin Duan is a junior at Saint Francis High School in Mountain View who is passionate about conducting interviews, designing, meeting new people, and amateur cooking. Most of his ideas come from the shower.
Akash Singhal is a 17 year old student who loves to build things. When he's not coding apps, constructing websites, or assembling robots, he is usually watching TV or hanging out with friends.
